About the team

Stripe’s Accounting Products team is building modern infrastructure for the Office of the CFO. Our vision is to give finance teams, and the agents that support them, one reconciled and explainable presentation of financial truth.

Today, the data and context required to make accounting decisions are fragmented across billing systems, contracts, spreadsheets, general ledgers, and the minds of the people doing the work. Finance teams spend significant time reconstructing what happened, determining the appropriate accounting treatment, reconciling results, and gathering evidence.

Giving an agent access to the underlying data is not enough: it also needs the business context, accounting policies, approved judgments, and guardrails required to act reliably.
