Manager II, Developer Advocacy

Developer Advocates at Datadog are engineers who share their expertise with technical practitioners, help customers tell their stories, and represent the perspectives of our community inside Datadog.

As a Manager II on the Advocacy team, you will lead our Community Advocacy functions. You will manage a team of Developer Advocates responsible for global programs such as Datadog Ambassadors, Champions, and User Groups, as well as opportunities for customer engineers to share their expertise through technical writing, public speaking, and other community contributions.

Across these interconnected programs, your team will enable customer engineers to contribute technical knowledge, lead communities, and turn their experiences into compelling content and conference talks for Datadog and third-party channels.

This role combines people leadership, program strategy, technical judgment, and cross-functional influence to amplify authentic customer voices, deepen understanding of Datadog and its products, and foster a thriving community of practitioners.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop a team of Developer Advocates, setting clear expectations, guiding priorities, coaching performance, supporting career growth, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture

• Own the strategy, goals, and roadmap for Community Advocacy, translating broader Advocacy and company priorities into focused programs and measurable outcomes
